This is a unique opportunity for a junior finance professional to develop in an international and fast-paced environment, supporting key accounting processes while gaining exposure to the commodities trading industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the monthly and annual closing processes for group entities
• Record and reconcile accounting transactions (accounts payable/receivable, bank entries, fixed assets, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain internal accounting schedules and financial reports
• Ensure accurate classification of expenses and revenues according to local accounting standards
• Collaborate with international teams to align reporting practices and meet deadlines
• Assist in preparing tax returns and other statutory obligations
• Provide support during audits by compiling and organizing required documentation
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and digitalization of records
• Work with ERP systems for data entry and reconciliation (Navision is a plus)
Requirements
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and reporting standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP knowledge (Navision is an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Good organizational and communication skills; team player
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Spanish is a plus
• Based in or willing to commute to the Cascais–Oeiras area
