Technical Support Engineer [Remote]

Velocix are looking for an innovative and driven Technical Support Engineer to join our growing team in Portugal.

Armed with your previous experience, you will provide your valuable knowledge, skills and insight to help support our workforce as we create our next generation of content delivery and video personalisation software.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve IP Video issues reported by customers.
- Maintain our high levels of customer satisfaction through providing efficient and supportive services, focused on the customer’s needs.
- Contribute to the upkeep of our technical support processes, policies & tools documentation.
- Manage key customer relationships on a day-to-day basis; where regular communication, information gathering, operational reviews and reporting are essential.
- 24x7 cover in an on-call mode, following an on-call team map.


- Degree or equivalent experience in a computing or science related field.
- Excellent communication skills – with a proven ability to authoritatively explain technical situations to customers in an accessible way.
- You will have a practical mindset and a keen eye for detail – with a passion for problem solving and identifying the root cause of issues.
- Proficient in network connectivity troubleshooting, Operations and Hardware.
- Knowledge/understanding of Linux systems administration and enterprise-class IP infrastructure (routers, switches, load-balancers, firewalls) and concepts (routing, NAT, VPN), would be beneficial.
