We supply natural colors, carotenoids, vitamins & minerals, and specialty ingredients to the food & beverage, supple-ment, and pet food industries.
GRA Nutra is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and committed individual with a strong interest in being an integral part of a growing organization and contributing to the development and use of in-gredient formulations in a variety of applications, including but not limited to food, beverage, and supplement products.
The Analytical Chemistry Technician will:

• Plan and execute work in implementation and development of analytical techniques rou-tinely used for characterization of ingredients and their formulations, including HPLC, spec-trophotometry, colorimetry, viscometry and particle size analysis.
• Carry out the routine analysis of implemented and validated analytical methods to support the R&D, production and quality assurance teams.
• Contribute to the preparation and update of internal Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment according to internal quality assurance procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of analytical data and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in the trace-back and solve out-of-specification results and non-conformities, in collaboration with the Quality Control and Assurance teams.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all analytical activities in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
• Support the release of products and issue Certificates of Analysis.
• Assist in internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Qualifications and Experience:
• University Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related areas.
• Prior experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical or related industries is preferred.
• Prior experience in chromatographic methods and running HPLC protocols.
• Proven work experience in analytical or quality control lab work.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and technical), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Must be a team player who is customer-focused, independently motivated and results driven

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
As the candidate will join an international team, working proficiency in English is mandatory.
Full-time job located in Póvoa de Santa Iria, Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal
