TTI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager for a Water Drainage project located in Mozambique.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the execution of all job site construction and installation activities, meeting established quality and safety standards and scheduled completion times
- Organises and supervises activities while meeting project budget and set timing Also represents the company in dealings with the authorities and third parties involved in the project at the job site, supporting the Project Manager in relations with the client and directly handling relations with the client’s representative at the job site
- From the moment the work site is set up, ensures the planning and receipt of materials, work scheduling, availability of vehicles and equipment, execution of the works in accordance with applicable laws, local regulations and employer HSE directives
- Coordinates personnel assigned and construction equipment to supervise and/or execute individual disciplines as well as any subcontractors and suppliers
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in civil Engineering;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English language (Italian is recommended)
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as Construction Manager in civil / infrastructure works
- Have completed as a minimum 1 similar project (rehabilitation of a complex stormwater/drainage/sewage lines projects- contract amount in excess of 50 millions euro)
- Track records of being capable of working safely and in quality in a multicultural environment and in a developing country for the following works
- Hydraulic Works :10 years (including Low pressure pipelines, drainage channels, intake structures, pumping stations, outlet structures)
- Mass Earthworks and Concrete Works expert :10 years
- Familiar with Prefabrication Works : 5 years (from setting up a Prefab Yard to completion)
- Knowledgeable in Roadworks: min. 5 years
- Strong Project Planning and executing skills
- Good leadership and personnel management
- Good knowledge and practice of IT programs
