*Position Overview:*
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a fluent Portuguese and English speaker with substantial experience in the financial sector, particularly in compliance functions.
*Key Responsibilities:*
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Monitor and report on compliance risks and breaches.
• Develop, implement, and review compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide compliance training and support to staff.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
*Requirements:*
*• Language:* Fluent in Portuguese and English.
*• Residency:* Must be a resident of Portugal.
*• Education:* Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting, Management, Finance, or Law).
*• Experience:* Minimum of two (2) years working in the financial sector, AML experience and background in a Portuguese financial institution with a focus on compliance functions.
*• Knowledge:* Familiarity with EU jurisdictions and experience with compliance legislation within Portuguese law.
*• Availability:* Must be available to dedicate at least 20 hours per week to this role. Preferably full-time position.
*Salary range:* From €2000-€3000 (depending on experience and background)
