Established in 2009, Crew à la Mode is an apparel and lifestyle agency, supplying luxury performance clothing and lifestyle solutions for super yachts, private aviation, hotels, villas and private residences.

From our Head Office in London, our project management team source luxury yacht crew clothing and uniform from core suppliers, with our offering extending to our consciously produced in-house luxury crew clothing range CALM by CREW, which is distributed from our EU warehouse in Portugal.


The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products using a hands on approach. The role involves managing the warehouse team maintaining inventory levels, ensuring health and safety compliance,security, and optimising operational efficiency.


\ Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Stock
● Manage all stock across all ranges, ensuring stock levels are consistently accurate on the system
● Ensure purchase orders are booked in, as received from factories and suppliers.
● Accurately allocate stock onto system and into warehouse locations
● Management and upkeep of a neat and tidy stockroom at all times
● Performing regular stock checks to maintain accuracy of stock levels
● Replenishing warehouse with new stock, moving stock into overflow
● Help with labelling & re-packing goods ready for stock (with
assistant)
● Boxing & labelling of items
● Implement changes to layout to stockroom as required
● Ensure the client returns process is managed and items are returned to stock or dealt with as non-saleable items, the system updated and the Client Services team are notified.
● Assist customisation and tailoring team when capacity allows.
● Purchasing of shipping and packaging supplies as required.

Warehouse Team Management
● Lead by fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability. Inspire with goals, feedback, and recognition, acting as a role model. Ensure performance with motivation and growth opportunities.
● Manage workload and resources for the warehouse to ensure consistent output meeting high season demands.
● Approve and manage team holidays and leave to prevent impact to operations.
● Raise any concerns about any team members to the Portugal Company Manager.
● Delegate tasks in order to achieve manager duties and responsibilities

Order Fulfilment & Dispatch / Goods Out

● Ensure warehouse operations and consistent & effective including:
○ Picking stock and order fulfilment across all orders
○ Creation of delivery notes and packing lists for each shipping box
○ Checking all shipments before dispatch and managing records
● Work closely with logistics on arranging timely shipments and managing issues or delays.
● Managing and tracking all shipments in ‘goods out’ for the Client Services team.
Shipments & Global Logistics
● Define strategies to improve shipping and global exports working alongside operational teams.
● Manage the logistics and shipping process, ensuring the Client Services team are informed and able to process orders to successfully deliver shipments.
● Enhance and develop systems to ensure requirements are met and improvement strategies delivered.
● Manage import/export documentation, customs compliance and tracking systems to provide real-time updates on shipments.
● Optimise shipping routes to minimise costs and delivery times while ensuring high service levels.
● Review and recommend enhancements to data to ensure documentation and commercial invoices meet shipping and export requirements.
● Develop relationships with shipping providers to negotiate favourable rates and enhance delivery efficiency.
● Peeping the system up to date with shipping costs.
● Report any problems with customs, lost boxes, failed deliveries to the client team and file claims with couriers.
● File claims for any lost boxes/goods

Skills
● 4+ years experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in the fashion, retail, or luxury goods sector.
● Strong understanding of inventory control processes.
● Works well under pressure, creating new strategies to drive continual improvement.
● Experience with shipping and courier services, including international logistics and exporting.
● 2+ years experience of leading a team.
● Proficiency in warehouse management software and Google Workspace.
● Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong communication skills with all stakeholders in the company.
● Fluent in English.
