About the Role:
We're seeking a dynamic and organized Transportation Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our team. You'll play a vital role in organizing and managing our road transportation operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Transportation Planning & Execution: Organize and optimize road transportation of cargo using both company-owned and hired vehicles, based on customer requests, ensuring the most cost-effective and timely solutions.
Driver Management: Manage our team of drivers on routes, ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures, providing loading/unloading addresses, preparing trip documentation, and arranging travel (business trip tickets).
Permit Management: Obtain, track, and maintain up-to-date records of permits for international transportation, ensuring legal compliance.
Financial Administration: Verify revenue reports and prepare/submit closing documents for completed transport jobs, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Business Development: Identify and actively pursue new cargo transportation opportunities, contributing to the company's growth.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar Transportation Coordinator or Dispatcher role within a transportation company.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage stressful situations while maintaining composure and organization.
Proficient computer skills, with familiarity with transportation management software (preferred).
Familiarity with basic logistics platforms and software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail in business correspondence.
Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a strong desire for professional and personal development.
Existing client base is a plus.
Language proficiency: English (A2 level), Portuguese (A2 level).
