Portugal is currently recruiting for its site in
Santo Tirso - Porto.
Report to the HO HR, Human Resources Business Partner will play a vital role in implementing and running HR strategies, policies and procedures regarding recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, training, development, career and succession planning processes.
MISSION:
The HR Business Partner will take a leadership role in the management and control of all human resources functions and will act as a strategic partner in the management team. Role is to identify, analyze and anticipate HR Business needs in order to provide practical and budget framed solutions in line with plant strategic options.
RESPONSABILITIES:
To ensure the implementation of corporate policies & guidelines within his/ her scope and also compliance with local labour law. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Workforce Planning
- Work on the headcount and budget planning and management together with Finance and Line Management to meet the business needs. Play a challenger role in the process;
- Provide and prepare support in the preparation of monthly/quarterly HR related reports and presentations;
- Prepare and keep track of headcount plan and budget and work in cooperation with the department managers.
Onboarding
-Assist in the development of onboarding process and execution of orientation programs for new employees.
Recruitment
- HRBP is responsible for recruitment and termination processes of the positions within his/ her scope – ensure the job request is validated, the recruitment plan/ tracker is updated and support the implementation of the recruitment and induction procedures in order to fulfill the unit’s competency needs;
- Work closely with hiring managers and externally with recruitment agencies (where applicable) in sourcing, shortlisting, review, follow-up on potential candidates and close the hiring process;
- Preparing employment contract (where applicable) for the new hires and also assists on employee’s mobility with expatriate assignment and HR related matters;
- Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for all blue-collar and white collar roles;
- Collaborate with the vocational schools and universities to promote employer branding and to acquire young talents for the organization.

People Management
- Execute the performance management program for white and blue collar workforce, Manager the BC Career grid process;
- Work closely with line management by providing necessary support like training and coaching of the processes;
- Managing people development by identifying the competencies gap, coaching on setting the development plans, identifying the talent pools;
- Providing support in People Review exercise and succession planning.
Training and Development
- In coordination with the training manager, support in identifying training needs and participate in evaluation of the training programs;
- Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
Organisational Development
- Support business strategy, advice, challenge and collaborate with the line managers on organizational changes. Read the “pulse” of the organization (including through employee opinion survey) and devise actions to continuously develop the organizational design and culture;
- Take an active role in conducting research of the strategic HR and new trends/programs that can be applicable for the organization.
Employee Relations (where applicable)
- To be the point of contact as HR for all the employee relation issues;
- Generate creative ideas in organizing social and employee engagement activities for employees and support stronger internal communication within the organization;
- Develop and maintain a positive employee relation environment and conduct customer oriented approach at all levels;
- Responsible for organizing all the communication processes towards employees.
PROFILE REQUIRED:
- Academic background in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Management or similar;
- Solid experience in similar functions (3-5 years) – Industry sector background will be valued;
- Have a hands-on approach with the ability to think strategically;
- Expertise with MS
Office package (namely Excel and Powerpoint) and good knowledge of ERP systems;
- Ability to track different projects simultaneously and their respective timelines;
- Able to work in a fast-growing organization, having a proactive mindset;
- Strong time management and prioritization skills;
- Discretion – respect confidentiality on sensitive matters;
- Advanced level of Portuguese and English is required; French is a plus.
