POSITION
Bicycle Mechanic in a professional cycling shop in Cais do Sodre, Lisbon.
We are a professional bike rental shop and we have earned a position of being a leading destination for cycling enthusiasts who come to cycle in and around Lisbon. Our shop specializes in high-end road bikes, mountain and gravel bikes as well as e-bikes. We’re committed to providing state of the art service to our community. We're looking for an experienced and passionate Bicycle Mechanic to join our team and help us keep Lisbon cycling smoothly!
JOB SUMMARY
As a Bicycle Mechanic at our shop, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of high-end bicycles. From routine tune-ups to complex repairs, you’ll ensure that every bike leaving our shop is safe and ready for the road. You’ll also have the opportunity to assemble new bikes and provide expert advice to our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair bicycles of all types, including road bikes, mountain bikes, gravel and e-bikes;
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as brake adjustments, gear tuning, and tire changes;
- Assemble new bicycles and ensure they meet our quality standards;
- Provide expert advice to customers on bike maintenance and repair needs;
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop;
- Keep up-to-date with the latest bicycle technology and repair techniques;
- Keep track of inventory and maintain stock levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a bike mechanic;
- Strong knowledge of different bike types, components, and repair techniques;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proactive, eager to learn, and highly organized;
- (Optional) Certification in bicycle mechanics is a plus.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
