Principal Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer in Portugal!

Handling millions of transactions for users and companies worldwide, we collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and payment service providers to enhance checkout conversion rates and streamline account management interactions. Our focus lies in developing a new architecture and suite of systems to ensure consistency across various domains and services, driving efficiency and reliability throughout the platform

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Participate in the development of some of the most critical and challenging services in our ecosystem, seeking to build long-term and sustainable solutions;
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience;
- Build Integration with 3rd party API and tools;
- Work in a collaborative and agile environment that prioritizes people over process;
- Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
- Experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs written in Spring and Java/ Kotlin;
- Strong experience with asynchronous processing and data pipelines;
- Solid architecture knowledge (event-driven architectures; serverless);
- Software quality and test automation mindset;
- Cloud computing (AWS) and Cloud Native (K8s) experience;
- Experience with SQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server or any other relational database;
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese.
