The Alentejo Science and Technology Park, as the leading entity in the Regional Technology Transfer System and a partner in the eGames Lab project, funded by PRR - Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência, and by Next Generation EU Funds, is hiring an entrey-level Machine Learning researcher.
The eGames Lab project is boosting Portugal's creative video games industry by bringing together companies, public and private entities, and R&D centres, with the support of industry leaders.
Responsibilities:
−Involvement in high-quality scientific research, through the lens of PACT's responsibility for the transfer of knowledge and technology;
−Contribute to projects integrated into the research areas, namely eGames Lab, as well as other projects that may be approved in similar areas;
−Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field;
Academic Background and Training:
−Master's degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Programming, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
−Specific academic background in Large Language Models, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence is highly valued.
What we're looking for:
−Solid scientific skills in software engineering;
−Previous experience in writing scientific articles, particularly in the areas of Machine Learning or Deep Learning;
−Excellent oral and written communication skills, in both English and Portuguese;
We value:
−Experience in Project Management;
−Experience in organizing events, particularly acceleration programs;
−Capacity to work autonomously, with a proactive and ambitious spirit for transferring and sharing knowledge;
−Ability to work as part of a team and a high sense of responsibility and commitment.
Place of work:
−The work will be carried out at PACT's facilities in Évora.
