Our client is an International Luxury Hotels Group based in China (Hong Kong) with hotels around the world.

Senior Manager - Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (m/f)
Hong Kong

Mission:
- You will manage the provision of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design services for all new projects and renovation projects for Peninsula Hotels and other commercial businesses, reporting directly to the General Design and Planning Manager. You will deal with day-to-day co-ordination of MEP consultants and assist the Senior Architectural and Planning Manager, to ensure co-ordination with architectural & interior design elements.

Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare MEP Design Briefs and the related programmes and constants’ scope of work, for new Peninsula projects, taking into account both Peninsula Standards and the project-specific requirements of Operations Engineering;
- Direct consultant engineers in preparation of basic MEP systems that balance requirements of best architectural planning, cost and operational efficiency;
- Consolidate assessment from Manager Group Chief Engineer, Operations of MEP systems’ performance in operating hotels. In conjunction with understanding of latest relevant technology, provide recommendations.

Profile:
- Graduated in Mechanics or equivalent in the Mechanical and Electrical field (eliminatory);
- At least 5 years of previous work experience with 5 stars opening or pre-opening hotel (eliminatory);
- Previous work experience as a Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer;
- Full knowledge of hotel MEP systems design, from macro-planning implications to technical installation;
- Understanding of practical construction methods to execute quality designs cost-effectively;
- Understanding of cost-benefit aspects of latest technology in both main MEP systems and special systems (IT, AV, ELV, SEC);
- Strong leadership skills in team discussions;
- Maintaining design principles in face of construction issues of deadlines and costs;
- Strong foundation in technical matters and familiarity with AUTOCAD;
- Knowledge in other languages: French and/or Mandarin (privileged);
- Availability to travel between Hong Kong and the project locations (Europe).
