Porto Tech Center (PTC) is Jumia’s IT development center, with around 200 IT-specialists. Porto Tech Center was created in 2012 with the aim of focusing on IT development. Main Responsibilities:

Contribute significantly to Recruitment and the identification of new sources
Participate in and promote Jumia’s drive to reach and achieve relevance in diverse international markets
Bring innovation to the sourcing process by continually finding and bringing the best talent to Jumia, wherever they are in the world
Participate in international events and in implementing new recruitment strategies, tools and techniques
Build a partnership with the Operations to give them support in their needs and promote Employee Development and Engagement
Provide support and relevant inputs to different HR initiatives and processes focused on Employee’s Well-Being
Be an example of Innovation and Continuous Improvement, always looking for ways to do tasks better and more efficiently
Be an integral part of reflecting our mission statement “Tech with Purpose” in the way we work


Bachelor Degree or Master’s in HR or Work Psychology
Minimum of 2 Years of experience in Recruitment (preferentially in the IT sector)
Strong HR knowledge to allow support in different HR areas focused on Employee Development and Engagement
Ability to manage projects and deal with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Good knowledge of Excel
Great Communication skills
Interested in Problem Solving and Optimizing Work
Focus on Innovation
