THE POSITION
Miniclip.com is looking for an experienced Product Manager to hire in our Oeiras (Portugal) Smartphone Games Development Studio. This is a full-time position; please apply only if you have the right to work in the Portugal.
DUTIES
As the Product Manager of mobile games you will be responsible for supervising and leading the production of world-class games for the iPhone. You will work with the team to define the creative vision and fun factor, as well as product content, budget and schedule of games. You will work closely with members of the development team to execute and improve the ongoing design.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Act as a liaison between the development staff and the executive staff
• Oversee creative (art and design) and technical development (game programming) of the games
• Follow an iterative, prototyped, agile development process where usability and play tests ensure the intended user experience
• Create and maintain the roadmap of all releases and updates in a portfolio of games
• Develop and maintain schedules and budgets
• Ensure deliverables are achieved efficiently
• Schedule timely quality assurance and testing, test new releases and updates and oversee outsourced testing teams
• Source external content (such as game audio and localization) and interface with 3rd party providers
• Monitor game statistics, customer feedback channels and competing products to constantly question assumptions and make adjustments to systems and campaigns
• Ad-hoc tasks requested by management team to improve the performance of the mobile team
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working in team with other people and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work. The ideal candidate will be strongly skilled in the following:
• Fluent in English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 3 – 5 years of experience in the management of game and/or entertainment products and services
• Experience managing and owning multiple products
• Experience working with teams across different functions and geographical locations
• BA or BSc degree or equivalent
• Strong leadership skills and ability to clearly articulate complex game development project issues
• Ability to evaluate development risks and create contingency plans
• Self motivated, with good organisational skills and close attention to detail
The following skills are desirable but not essential:
• Fluent in Portuguese
