Borouge will bring on stream an additional 2.5 million t/y of polyolefins under its Borouge 3 initiative, the next phase of its expansion plans manufacturing capacity. In addition to enhancing its Borstar® technology-based polypropylene and polyethylene offer, this major expansion to be completed at the end of 2013 will include the production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) production capacity to meet the specific needs of the rapidly growing wire and cable infrastructure market and to compliment Borealis' current investment in 350,000 t\y of LDPE capacity in Sweden.
Plant Availability Function has evolved over the years to become a high quality maintenance service provider for the whole of the Borouge's complex. The function consists of five departments; Polyolefins, Olefins, Strategy, Infrastructure and Services, which are all essential to carry out the routine daily maintenance jobs in the plants. The prime function of the department is to provide high quality service to operational units in order to achieve and maintain high levels of safe, reliable and continuous production.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be part of the maintenance Technical Support team and will be responsible for:
Maintaining all offline and online analysers with high availability and reliability which are installed in all plants. These analyser are used as quality control for all products and its availability is a mandatory for advanced process control applications. His functions also to maintain health, safety and environment monitoring equipment such as fire and gas detection systems and Emission Control Monitoring System.Provide specialized technical support, troubleshooting and failure analysis of all plant Analyzers and associated control systems.
Review Preventive Maintenance strategy, PM plans, and spare parts availability to improve the plant reliability.
Review and participate in the design and development of deviation projects in your area.
Regular contacts with team members in cross-functional team for planning and effective handling of maintenance jobs.
Prepare procedures for critical equipment maintenance jobs.
Provide field support for work execution of critical equipments. This may include reviewing contractors' regular reports, assessing their performance and providing advice as necessary. Take part in the coordination meetings with Operations for the follow up of critical equipments.
As a successful candidate you will have:
Bachelor Degree in Instrument, Control, Electronics & Communications Engineering or related course (4 years course) or higher.
At least 8 years work experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry, including 4 years in an Engineer position.
Good knowledge of installation, commissioning, maintenance and trouble shooting of a variety of large and complex control & instrumentation equipment in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
Excellent analytical & leadership skills.
Excellent team player.
Proficient in the use of computer, i.e. MS Office, CMMS, etc.
