Netherlands Regional Country Controller
Accounting Department
The Accounting team was set up in Shared Services over 5 years ago, to drive consistency across all the businesses, and raise the quality of accounting to a common standard.
The team currently supports most of the Distribution businesses across UK and Europe, and the goal is to extend this to the remaining businesses in the future.
The SSC is made up of people who can be described as:

1.Main Tasks:
● Maintaining the accounting ledgers in Aptos (the accounting system)
● Ensure all processes and systems are continually improved.
● Deliver the Month End process
● Deliver the Month End process.
● Deliver the Year End and Statutory Accounts process.
● Deepen the relationships with the local Finance teams and the central Finance team.
● Ensure financial controls are fully implemented and continually developed.
● Stock valuation and rebates
● Reporting
●Ad Hoc
● People managemet
2.Requirements:
Minimum 2 years preparing financial accounts
An excellent knowledge of accounting concepts - particularly double entry book keeping
Qualified accountant
Proven high achiever
Graduate in a numerical degree subject
Knowledge of Aptos accounting software would be a plus
3.Technical Skills:
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
MS Office Excel and Acess- to an intermediate standard
4 .Behavioral Skills:
Excellent social skills
Proactive
Self-starter – able to work with limited supervision
Task focused
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change, in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
