In 2008, Carphone Warehouse formed a joint venture with Best Buy to form Best Buy Europe - a pan-European consumer electronics retail powerhouse that will compete with businesses such DSGi and Kesa Electricals.
The Phone House (TPH) is looking for independent, enthusiastic and driven individuals to join its Shared Service Centre (SSC) team in Lisbon. TPH is making a substantial investment in its SSC operations in Portugal during 2009, involving the creation of new services operation.

Accounts Payable Assistant


1.Main Tasks:
Book non-stock invoices according the information on the invoice.
Book stock invoices matching correct PO's.
Meet SLA's. Raise awareness when target in endangered.
Identify, raise and report queries to local team and controllers.
Request statements to the suppliers and provide the supplier reconciliations for the statements received.
Provide unallocated cash and debit balances reports doing all the matching possible and providing the necessary help in order to reduce unallocated to the minimum.
Provide payment proposals and final payments according to country instructions.

2.Requirements

High School diploma with experience in admin functions, or recent graduate in Finance with no relevant experience.

3.Technical Skills

Very good English written and spoken. Other European Languages are a plus, especially Spanish.
Good Excel Skills

4.Behavioral Skills

Comfortable in working both with routine and under pressure
Good understanding of what ‘team spirit’ means
Dynamic and self starter
