Our client is a multinational company in the telecommunications sector in Lisbon:

Country Controller
(m/f) - Lisbon

Functions:
- Maintaining the accounting ledgers in Aptos (the accounting system);
- Ensure all processes and systems are continually improved;
- Deliver the Month End process;
- Deliver the Year End and Statutory Accounts process;
- Ensure financial controls are fully implemented and continually developed;
- Deepen the relationships with the local Finance teams and the central Finance team;
- Stock valuation and rebates;
- Reporting;
- Ad hoc proactively support the local Finance teams with additional analysis and reports, and resolve escalated issues and queries.
- To take responsibility for management of direct reports - this includes:
- Personal development of the team;
- Regular performance management (monthly maximize and team meetings);
- Succession Planning within the team.


Skills:
- Graduatedin a numerical degree
- Qualified accountant
- Experience in accountancy for at least 2/3 years;
- Fluent in English, German desirable;
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills;
- MS Office Excel and Access – to an intermediate standard;
- Ability to analyze data and report in a clear and accurate manner;
- Knowledge of Aptos accounting software would be a plus.
